Tulips planted never bloomed. Disappointing Spring. |
Tulip DyingDoes the title change the picture? The simple addition of words may change the meaning of the image. In this case this tulip was on of many that had been killed by a gopher that worked its way through my garden, defying my efforts to kill him. The loss of my tulips was most depressing. Each day I came out four or five more had wilted over, their bulbs gone. So a tulip becomes a symbol of depression. Strange.
